Long before commercial yeast existed, bread rose slowly through natural fermentation. Flour, water, time, and the right temperature worked together to activate living cultures, such as lactic acid bacteria and wild yeast colonies. Billions of living microorganisms make bread rich in flavor, easier to digest, and deeply nourishing.
At Oh My Sourdough, we follow this approach. Our bread is naturally fermented over many hours. This slow process helps break down gluten and phytic acid, supports digestion with the help of prebiotics, and contributes to a healthier gut microbiome. We use only organic, unbleached flour and never add commercial yeast.
