Philosophy

Bread was not always what we see today. For centuries, it was made simply with flour, water, salt, and time. Grains were diverse, locally grown, and full of character. Dough was left to ferment slowly, guided by the natural environment. Every loaf was a reflection of place, season, and people. Natural fermentation was the only way to make bread light and airy. Wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria worked together over many hours, transforming simple ingredients into nourishing, flavorful, living dough.

With industrialization, bread became faster to produce and easier to standardize. Diverse grains were replaced with high-yield varieties. Flour was refined and often bleached. Commercial yeast made it possible to skip long fermentation entirely. Bread became consistent, soft, and quick, but lost much of its depth, both in flavor and in nourishment.

Our approach

Sourdough brings us back. Through slow, natural fermentation, the dough develops in its own time. This process helps break down gluten and phytic acid in dough, making nutrients more available and bread easier to digest. It supports the gut microbiome and creates a richer, more complex flavor. Nothing is forced in this process. Our bread takes its time, and we treat it with respect.

Just flour, water, salt, and a living culture, working together the way they always have.

At Oh My Sourdough, we follow this traditional method with intention. We use only organic, unbleached flour; we rely entirely on natural fermentation; and we never, ever use commercial yeast. Each loaf is made slowly, in small batches, with attention to detail at every step.

Bread is more than food for many of us. It has always been the centerpiece of the table. It is shared, broken, passed from hand to hand. It brings people together. We believe bread should not only nourish, but also feel meaningful. That is why each loaf can be shaped for your lifestyle and finished with a design that makes it your own.

Real bread made with organic ingredients. No commercial yeast. Time, care, and intention in every loaf.
We believe in a return to something simple, natural, and lasting.

Discover our bread

Meet the founder

I started Oh My Sourdough with a simple idea to bring real bread back. I have always wondered what the food of our ancestors was like centuries ago.
What began as curiosity combined with a personal goal to make my diet more nutritious, became a way to express my values and share the magic of flour and water with others.
